XII “Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy” Conference

XII “Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy” conference will start a new course for LIBS community. After more than twenty years we need to hold the same excellence and novelties from the scientific and technological points of view and, simultaneously, we have to fit the World’s changes. From one hand, the number of LIBS researchers and users has strongly increased in all the Countries, but on the second hand the pandemic effects have impacted the exchange of expertise between researchers. For these reasons the event will be organized in presence at high security level, but at the same time it will include the participation and contribution also in remote. All the remote contributions will be recorded, as well as, the lectures of the conference and will be available to the participants ten days after the closing of the event in Bari. This will permit to the participants to attend the presentation at their best. In order to support economically the conference attendance and, at the same time to keep the scientific discussion inclusive between the participants, special events will be organized. Students are invited to take part with low fee and to apply for poster awards. European senior researchers will also propose a remote course on different basic aspects of LIBS.

PUBLICATION: A thematic issues of Spectrochimica Acta Part Part B will be devoted to the conference papers.
